Dr. Justīne Kaupe
Internist and Endocrinology Resident
Dr. Justīne Kaupe is an internist and resident in endocrinology (Riga Stradiņš University, Riga East Clinical University Hospital). She specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of endocrine disorders in adults. In her clinical practice, she follows evidence-based medicine principles and provides an individualized approach to every patient.
She consults and treats patients with prediabetes, metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus and other disorders of glucose metabolism, obesity and excess body weight, thyroid diseases (including thyroid nodules and conditions following thyroid surgery), disorders of calcium and phosphorus metabolism, vitamin D deficiency, as well as other endocrine disorders.
For more than five years, she has also worked as a lecturer at the Department of Pharmacology and Internal Medicine at Riga Stradiņš University.
Dr. Kaupe is a member of the Latvian Association of Endocrinologists, the Latvian Society of Internists, and the European Society of Endocrinology.
She provides consultations in Latvian and Russian, and will soon also offer consultations in English.
In 2015, Dr. Kaupe graduated from Riga Stradiņš University, earning her medical degree.
From 2015 to 2020, she completed her residency training in Internal Medicine and became a certified internist. She is currently completing her residency training in Endocrinology.
Since 2015, she has been working at Riga East Clinical University Hospital, gaining extensive clinical experience in internal medicine and endocrinology.
She continuously expands her professional knowledge by participating in Latvian and international conferences, congresses, and continuing medical education courses in endocrinology and internal medicine.
