Abdominal ultrasonography (USG) is a painless, informative and quickly performed visual diagnostic examination, with the help of which the structure of the organs and soft tissues of the abdominal cavity is evaluated.
USG provides an informative picture of the size, shape, position and function of the abdominal organ.
With this method, the liver, gall bladder and bile ducts, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, bladder are examined.
It is IMPORTANT to note that the examination must be prepared in advance:
You must come to the examination on an empty stomach. You should not eat for at least 5-6 hours before the examination. Only water should be drunk before the examination. Before the examination, you may take the necessary daily medications, taking the tablets with water. If the USG is intended for the urinary tract, for the bladder – you must come to the examination with a full bladder.
